The MTCM maintains an important role in the United States and international Montessori community. This includes presentations, conferences, workshops, mentoring, and consultation. The Director of Training, Molly OShaughnessy, has given talks and workshops around the country. Recent presentations, keynotes and workshops include those given in Australia, California (The Century Forward: A Vision of the Montessori Movement for the Next Century), Maryland, Mexico Minnesota, Nebraska, Texas and Wisconsin. Included in this section are samples of work presented by Molly OShaughnessy. Peace, the Unknown, was a keynote given at the National Educate for Peace conference in Minneapolis, sponsored by AMI/USA in July 2002. The second offering, The Child and the Environment, was presented at the 23rd International Montessori Congress in Cancun, Mexico in July of 1999. Additionally, the MTCM publishes newsletters as a service to MTCM graduates and the Montessori community. It provides updates on Montessori offerings, suggestions and ideas for the classroom, as well as articles on the theoretical. |
